Dismissal Information

Procedures and Policies

Dismissal at the Primary School Begins at 3:10pm following announcements.

Requests for changes in dismissal must be done prior to 2pm on that day. VPS Dismissal Request forms have been sent to households and are also available on our site.

If you are picking-up your child from school after 2:45pm, you must go to the dining room to sign-out your child.  Please do not go to the classroom to pick up your child. This procedure is for the safety and welfare of our Primary students.

If you are picking up children from the dining room we ask that you park in the south lot near the basketball courts.  Short term parking is provided.  Please do not park in the bus loop from 2:30 to 3:30.  Buses are arriving for Intermediate School dismissal and our dismissal.

Occasionally parents may request to have their children excused before regualr dismissal time(i.e. emergency, Dr. appt., etc.).  A note with the necessary information should be sentto school with the child in the morning.  Parents picking up their child early must sign them out in the main office.
